Ganesh Chaturthi 2023 celebration begins on the fourth day of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. This special festival of Ganesh Utsav lasts for 10 days. It ends on the day of Anant Chaturdashi. During this period, people enthusiastically bring the idol of Lord Ganesha, known as Bappa, to their homes accompanied by music and drums. The sound of people chanting Bappa’s name is heard everywhere throughout the day of Ganesh Utsav. Ganesh Utsav festival is one of the important events in Hinduism. Ganesh Chaturthi 2023 Date, Time, and Muhurat

Ganesha Chaturthi will happen on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. The Madhyahna Ganesha Puja Muhurat, which is a favorable time for worship, will begin at 11:01 AM and end at 01:28 PM. Also, as per the Hindu Panchang (calendar), the Ganesha Visarjan, which is the immersion of Ganesha idols, will take place on Thursday, September 28, 2023.

It’s advised not to try to spot the Moon on the day before Ganesha Chaturthi. To avoid seeing the Moon, you should avoid looking at the sky from 12:39 PM to 08:10 PM on September 18, 2023, especially from 09:45 AM to 08:44 PM.

Rituals of Ganesh Sthapana Puja

• First of all contact an good Guruji or pandit from our Book Pooja section.
• On the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, first take a bath and meditate early in the morning.
• Clean the place where you worship. Thereafter, our Guruji will perform the approved puja rituals for Lord Ganesha.
• During the festive occasion, set up a place for Lord Ganesha in your worship area using yellow or red colored items and recite special phrases called mantras.
• Afterwards, adorn Lord Ganesha with turmeric, sandalwood paste, vermilion, red powder, sacred thread, special grass, fruits, flowers, and a type of bead.
• Offer Modak or Lodhi as a special food offering to Lord Ganesha and finally, conclude the worship by performing Aarti.
